Julie Massi, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor specializing in anxiety, panic, trauma, depression, executive dysfunction, and phase of life issues. Before joining Castlebrook, Julie worked with adults facing chronic mental health challenges in residential and community-based settings, as well as providing outpatient therapy for adults and adolescents. She is trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and frequently incorporates its concepts and skills, along with elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.
In her sessions, Julie brings warmth, supportiveness, and authenticity and builds honest and genuine relationships with clients. She takes a partnership-oriented and adaptive approach to client goals and is comfortable integrating aspects of spirituality, culture, and/or gender as they relate to clients' sense of identity and perspective. Julie enjoys identifying and enhancing the strengths that clients bring to therapy to foster positive change. |
