McKenzie Sheridan, M.A. (she/her) is a pre-licensed clinician working towards a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She earned an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College before joining William James College's PsyD program in 2020.
McKenzie, under the supervision of licensed psychologist Dr. Elizabeth Anderson, specializes in treating complex post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, and relational difficulties. With experience working with various age groups and their families, she focuses on supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. As a Queer woman, McKenzie is devoted to unveiling, destigmatizing, and promoting Queer joy, recognizing the distinct challenges and needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals. McKenzie offers personalized therapy to help individuals with emotional and behavioral wellness. She focuses on executive functioning, self-regulation, identity development, and communication. Her therapy style is person-centered, strengths-based, and integrates various therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Play Therapy.
